I don't want to create just another music video or trendy Reel or Tik-Tok. God has created a beautiful world and it is my mission to represent it to its fullest.
From concept to final production, I am there the whole way. It start's with a call! Once you reach out, I will followup to set up a video meeting with you, think of this as a virtual coffee brunch. These are great because it allows us all to meet and get to know one another. We will also go over details about your project and answer and questions or concerns you may have.
I have been in the wedding industry for 5-plus years now and have been trusted by couples to travel around the globe to capture their weddings. Hey I'm Rylee Shaw, creating films and telling stories is my passion and any opportunity to do that is a blessing in my eyes. I truly enjoy what I do and I love adventures and meeting new people. I have seen the beaches of Hawaii to the Dolomites of Italy and that is only possible because people just like you, trust my ability to create meaningful and well thought out films.
I grew up playing in the mud and running around barefoot stepping on honeybee's. If you know, you know... In my free time, I still love to be outdoors and spend time hiking with my girlfriend Karlie and my dog, Ragnar. However, I also love the warm weather of a sunny beach, listening to the ocean waves while kicked back under an umbrella. Bodybuilding is also on my list of activity's because if I'm not shooting video, I'm in the gym. Being physically active is one of the requirements for a healthy and happy life. The Lord says to be strong in mind, body, and spirit so I do my best to make sure I live as close to those words as possible.
That all being said, I still find myself appreciating the little details that life throws out. The birds quietly sitting on the deck rail, preparing for sunrise to start singing their songs. The way tall grass waves in the wind on a warm summer evening or how quiet the world gets after a fresh snowfall. I also see those little details in a wedding day. Your parents looking over at you during the dinner reception with a few tears rolling down as their newly married baby starts the next big chapter of life. The signing of the marriage certificate by you and your best friends, which is often done in some back room and goes unnoticed by everyone. It's little details like these that I capture, this is what will make your wedding film feel like YOU.
Wedding films are an investment that grows with time. Getting to look back 10 or 20 years in the future to your younger selfs, seeing dad's goofy speech once again like it was yesterday, crying as you walked down that aisle that changed your life forever. Imagine being able to sit down one day, with your family, and showing your children or grandchildren what your wedding day was like. Hearing those speeches and seeing the heartfelt laughs and tears of everyone you hold dear. I may be delivering a wedding film but what I am really creating is a legacy for you to pass on and nostalgia for you relive one of the greatest days of your life.
It really rubs me the wrong way when a business feels... scummy. When you ask them questions and you get a "beat-around the bush" kind of answer. I value honesty and simplicity. I want to leave couples feeling confident in my work and trusting in the process. I promise straight answers and to set clear expectations.
